Changing for the Worse

A case submitted by

I grew up in a little coastal town along the south shore of Massachusetts. My family still lives there, and as a proud New Englander, I frequently return for visits!

About 10 minutes from my family home is a beach I have been visiting since I could first walk. As long as I could remember, I have been going to this beach.

Now when I go back to visit, there is less and less of the beach left and the seawall has been breached in many locations.

The beach is changing due to severe weather patterns and coastal erosion. Warming atmospheric and oceanic temperatures from anthropogenic climate change are reshaping our coast lines all across the world.

It makes me sad……..
